In the “wait!”

So most of us have heard the phrase “Wait on the Lord.” But what does that really mean? Wait as in stop everything and don’t move until the Lord tells you too? Wait as in pause but keep doing what your doing and God will close the door on that if it’s not His will for you? What does one do while in the “wait?”
